How to access AWS Lab from office network with the help of AWS workspace by Raj Gupta

If we are unable to carry on with the labs specifically when it comes to connecting the instances they create in cloud. The primary reason is that port 3389 (for windows RDP) and port 22 (for Unix) are blocked in office network, which prevents them to connect to the instances they create.

As you know, there are multiple solutions (RD Web Access Gateway, Port forwarding etc) to this and the most viable one which is secured is to use the VDI (AWS workspace) and initiate RDP or SSH within that towards the instance they create.  This solution works on port 443 which is default enabled.

Login to AWS and go to Workspaces

Launch Workspace

In the next screen, create a user, specify the name, surname & a valid email address. After that click on “Create Users” and then click below “Show All Users”

Enable Web Access for the VDI
